How many dreams are abandoned due to temporary feelings of discouragement? How many relationships end due to temporary feelings of anger? How many great achievements are averted due to temporary feelings of fear?
Feelings are truly a gift and benefit our lives in many ways, but the reality is that feelings come and go, and there are times when our feelings can deceive us. Our feelings can be impacted by lack of sleep, our diet, hormones, our level of stress, and by past memories.
Last month we discussed the fact that in order to have the things that we want to have, we must often do the things we don’t feel like doing. Before you give up on a goal, relationship, or dream that feels impossible, be sure to take the time to think through if you are allowing temporary feelings to cause you to make a permanent decision that you may later regret.
It may not always feel like it, but you are capable of doing great things!
