Hello Foundations Families & Friends!
This week‘s growth mindset quote is, “To have the things that we want to have, we must do the things that we don’t feel like doing.”
So often we allow our feelings to drive our decisions, but the problem with that is our feelings can often lead us away from the things we truly want. If I want to lose weight, but I feel like eating ice cream, then I have to decide if I will follow my feelings or do what will help me accomplish my goal.
To grow and succeed in any area of our life, we often have to choose to push through feelings of boredom, discouragement, frustration, fear, and exhaustion. The cool thing is, when we do the things we don’t feel like doing, the reward of achieving our goal is far greater than appeasing any temporary feelings that were trying to lead us astray.
Wishing you a great week ahead!
